Here is a Glossary of the Terminology of the Difference Between
Genuine
, OE, and OEM.

  


  
Genuine
= Original Factory Part.

              OE = Same part as Genuine, but not in the factory box.  Both OE
                     and a Genuine Parts come out of the same plant.

         OEM = This is a part that comes from a manufacture that makes OE
                     parts like this part for other Car manufactures , but not for
                     this Car Manufacture.

   
EXAMPLE:   Delco make's Antennas for GM car's, yet they make masts for Ford which Harada is the Genuine manufacture. Delco in this case would be an OEM manufacture and as a Manufacture of Antennas a Great manufacturer of antennas.

 Aftermarket = Manufactured by a Company that is not making parts for the
                          Automotive Car Manufactures.
